Sobolów Local government: Łapanów |
All Saints’ Parish Church in Sobolów dates from the end of the C16th. It has a single-nave and was built using log construction. The east wall of the chancel has a C20th Garden (of Gethsemane) group: an angel handing the cup to Christ. Next to the church you can see a C17th free-standing wooden bell-tower in which a gothic bell is suspended. The oldest church relic is the mannerist painting depicting the Crucifixion. The C19th main altar contains a painting of Madonna with Child, and the paintings in the nave represent scenes of souls in purgatory. The rococo side altars and the late-baroque patron’s pews are also noteworthy. |
