| The church of Sts Paul and Peter and St. Stanislas the Bishop in Brzeźnica was builtin 1632. In 1892 it was reconstructed by lengthening the nave and adding a side vestibule. This church has log-framework structure and a single nave, and is oriented (its presbytery faces east). The presbytery is closed on three sides with vestries on the axis and the side. The church has a double-ridge roof, covered with sheet metal and featuring an ave-bell turret topped with a slender sheet-metal conical dome with a lantern. The interior features a 17 th- century organ as well as figural and ornamental polychrome decoration (1899). The main altarpiece (1776), three side ones and the pulpit (1777) are late-baroque items 1777. Another interesting feature is a 16th-century stone baptismal font with both Gothic and Renaissance characteristics. Next to the church stands a pillar-framework belfry of the 1700s. |
