St. Joachim’s Church in Krzyżanowice
|
Krzyżanowice gmina: Bochnia |
St. Joachim’s Church in Krzyżanowice probably arose in 1746 (according to 1699 sources). It was built in Bochnia and moved to Krzyżanowice in 1794 (the parish here was already set up at the beginning of the C14th). Next to the church stands an C18th wooden bell-tower. Inside the single-nave church there is C19th figurative polychrome decoration by Jakub Gucwa. The classical altars – main and side – date from the C19th. In the main one you can see bas-reliefs of the patron saint, St. Joachim, while the side ones contain a bas-relief of the Sacred Heart and a painting of Madonna with Child. |
